The aim of the research was to show the relationship between superstitiousness, belief in unexplained phenomena, and action-oriented type D personality traits - the state according to Julius Kuhl. In addition, it was checked how women differ from men in terms of superstition and belief in unexplained phenomena. Moreover, it was shown how people differ in terms of these variables depending on their education (N = 64). The following research methods were used: the Belief Openness Questionnaire (KOP20), the Type D Measurement Scale (DS-14), the Action Control Scale (ACS-90) and the Unexplained Phenomena Scale (NZ). The obtained results indicate, inter alia, higher level of belief in unexplained phenomena in women than in men, higher level of this variable in people with primary and vocational education compared to people with secondary and higher education, negative correlation between superstition and type D personality traits, and a positive correlation between superstitiousness and action orientation.
