The image of a country in the international context is determined not only by a coun-try’s potential. Other factors, such as the country’s perception and opinions on its activity, coming from the foreign public opinion, also play a significant role. Poland has experienced a positive change in the way it is perceived, which is connected with two events of different scale: one is political and concerns Poland’s presidency in the European Union, the other is a mass sports event – the European Football Championships Euro 2012.
