THE MEMBER STATES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION TO THE REFUGEE CRISIS IN EUROPE

Abstract

The author of the shared analysis of the problem on three dimensions: the legal dimension, the political-social dimension and the Polish participation in this crisis. Discussing the first of them pointed to the ambiguous legal interpretations concerning asylum policy in the EU countries. The second part is the characteristics of the social and political dimensions of the refugee crisis in Europe. The author shows here on the selection criteria by migrants of the country in which the request for asylum. In the third part of the article Author analyzes the place of Poland in the migration crisis in Europe. It concluded that Poland is not the preferred goal of migrants from the Middle East, North Africa and other Muslim States. But it is increasingly the aim of labor migration from Eastern Europe, mainly from the Ukraine.
