STEFAN MORAWSKI'S WAY TO PRACTISE AESTHETICS/PHILOSOPHY OF ART. PRINCIPAL FINDINGS (PART 1)

Abstract

The aim of the article is to present the scientific profile of Professor Stefan Morawski on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of birth. I present the basic stages of Prof. Morawski's scientific development. I complement it with the main solutions and proposals, which prof. Morawski brought to philosophy, philosophy of culture, aesthetics and theory and art criticism. I also attempt to take into account the biographical elements that influenced Stefan Morawski's life and decisions. This is especially true in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.
