Abstract

During the interwar period 1918–1939 honor constituted one of the most essential values for each officer. Keeping its immaculacy was indeed a priority. Acting otherwise could lead to painful consequences both in the legal, and social field. Being aware of this fact, v-ce admiral K. Porębski, having been charged for his participation in the so-called ‘mine – affair’, endeavored to clear his good name from the allegations before the Court of Honor for the Generals. This article describes the course of v-ce admiral Porębski’s case of honor before this institution.
