COMBAT STRESS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF CRISIS RESPONSE OPERATIONS

Abstract

The phenomenon of stress is getting and extremely important problem occurring in modern times. Stress may appear in many cases affecting a large part of the population and negatively impacting its functioning, The problem of stress, specifically combat stress (stress of battlefield) influences to soldiers. It is particularly dangerous driven by specific battlefield conditions including explosions, flashes of gunfire, flames, view of screaming and suffering from pain colleagues, corps of the fallen. Therefore excessive physical losses or bad decisions are always result of stress. Accordingly, the contents in the article regard basic tasks currently fulfilled by Polish soldiers in operations abroad within crisis response operations. In addition the characteristics of combat stress made, from the perspective of its impact on human functioning.
