HYDROGEN AS AN ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCE IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION’S ENERGY STRATEGY

Abstract

The article deals with the most important issues linked to hydrogen production, its industrial and individual consumption. Authors focus on hydrogen market development perspectives with reference to broader, regional, and global contexts. They also analyse advantages of hydrogen use in the production processes, transport sector – currently and in the future. The Russian Federation shall occupy prominent place on the hydrogen market since this country is dominant in the global energy sector, not only in terms of natural gas and petrol production, but also in its other segments.
