Self-assessment of school career counsellors in the field of methodological counselling competences

The aim of the article is to analyse the perception of own competency resources by career counsellors working in Polish schools. The data from the survey concerning the self-assessment of school career counsellors in the field of their methodological competence and declarations of educational needs in terms of professional development are presented. The research was carried out in a group of 259 school career counsellors. On the basis of the analysis were indicated not only the competence gaps, but also proposals for educational interventions aimed at the elimination of deficits and professional development of school career counsellors.
