Abstract

The aim of the article is to present the results of own research on the quality of life of older people over 60 and the level of adaptive responses by seniors. The subject of the research was the quality of life and the relationship between the general quality of life, individual, general perception of one’s own health, quality in the psychological, social, somatic and environmental spheres with individual adaptive reactions in people over 60 years of age with difficulty hearing. The research used the method of diagnostic survey, the questionnaire technique (Questionnaire of Adaptation Reactions; WHOQOL-BREF – Shortened Version of the Quality of Life Assessment Survey; screening test with TSOS battery). The article presents the methodological basics of own research. The research results are presented. It was found that the higher the level of positive adaptation to the existing difficulties in hearing, the better the quality of life of the respondents.
