Abstract

The purpose of the article was to present the actions taken by the Command and Naval Operations Department to prepare PMW officers, as well as civilians to work in the maritime security system of the state.

Already in the interwar period, actions were taken to create an effective system of training PMW personnel for the needs of the maritime security of the state. It was created on the basis of courses and postgraduate studies at the Naval Cadet School, which proved to be effective, but was interrupted by the outbreak of war.

After its completion and reactivation of the Navy in the country, the above issues again became an important component of the education and training system of MW officers. Such a role is played by the Faculty established in 1979, which today is called the Department of Command and Naval Operations.
